Don’t wash your dishes, before you wash your dishes. Why? Because your dishes need to be a little dirty in order for the dishwashing detergent to effectively do its job. The detergent is designed in such a way that it needs a little grime to latch onto in order for your dishes to get fully clean in the dishwasher. If your dishes are already clean going in, then the detergent won’t really have the opportunity to fully do its job. Odd to think that the dirtier the dish, the cleaner the wash load, but that’s how it works. Scrape, don’t rinse. This might be happy news for some of you!
